member before, you will join by completing the New Member Application.
Completing the online application is the fastest and easiest way to join HNO.

Institutional Member As a
non-profit organization, the HNO seeks philanthropic support and partners who
understand the importance of reaching people at every stage in life to
positively impact their overall nutrition and health. Organizational
membership provides a unique forum for your organization to experience
innovative strategies in nutrition and health research, education, as well as
allow you to participate in expressing a range of views on important health,
nutrition, environment etc. issues. |

Terms and Conditions
Membership Guidelines
1. Membership Categories:
Individuals may apply for any of the following membership categories, except for Founding Membership. New categories may be introduced by the Executive Committee (EC) with prior approval from the Board of Directors (BOD):
- Founding Member: Reserved for the organization's founders. The number of founding members is fixed and listed separately.
- Honorary Member: Awarded to renowned professionals, subject to proposal and approval by the EC and BOD.
- Life Member: Granted upon one-time payment of a fee determined by the EC and approved by the BOD.
- Student Member: Open to individuals pursuing undergraduate or graduate studies with a demonstrated interest in the organization’s objectives.
- Institutional Member: Available to organizations interested in supporting the mission of improving health and nutrition across all life stages. Institutional membership fosters collaboration in research, education, and advocacy on issues related to health, nutrition, and the environment.
2. Membership Validity:
- Memberships (except Founding, Honorary, and Life) are valid for two years from the approval date and must be renewed biennially.
- Founding, Honorary, and Life Members do not require renewal.
3. Membership Benefits:
Members enjoy the following privileges:
- Receive an official ID card.
- Propose and manage projects in collaboration with the EC.
- Access research grants, project roles, and organizational recruitment opportunities.
- Participate in ensuring transparency and accountability in organizational activities.
- Vote and contribute to decisions at the Annual General Meeting; one representative per Institutional Member may also vote.
- Life Members and Institutional Member representatives may contest elections for Executive Committee (EC) positions, except for Vice President-1 and Secretary General (reserved for Founding Members or their nominees).
- Life Members may contest elections for Board of Directors (BOD) positions, except for Chairman, Executive Director, and two Director roles (reserved for Founding Members or their nominees).
- Access free or discounted organizational publications.
- Enjoy subsidized fees for conferences, seminars, workshops, and training programs.
- Publish articles or book chapters in organizational publications at reduced rates or for free.
- Discounts on courses, live classes, workshops, and quizzes (50% for Life Members, 30% for Student Members).
- Priority consideration as volunteers in events.
- Eligibility for stipends and scholarships for students.
- Free periodic training in health, nutrition, and research.
- Networking opportunities with other professionals.
- Continuing education and certification options.
- Volunteer experience certificates.
- Subsidized entry to virtual and physical events, seminars, and expos.
- Opportunities to join research teams as authors (conditions apply).
- Access to workshops on foreign scholarship guidance.
- Eligibility for project roles within the organization.
- Recruitment consideration by the organization.
- Participation in mentor programs.
4. Membership Cancellation, Suspension, and Reinstatement:
a. Cancellation/Suspension:
Membership may be canceled or suspended under the following circumstances:
- Voluntary resignation by the member.
- Death or psychological incapacity of the member.
- Engagement in unethical practices that violate the organization’s ethical guidelines, without rectification after notification.
- Failure to pay the annual subscription fee for one year, following a one-month notice from the Financial Secretary. Membership can be reinstated within a year upon application and approval by the BOD.
b. Process for Cancellation:
- The EC will issue a show-cause notice to members suspected of grounds for cancellation or suspension.
- Members must respond within two weeks of receiving the notice.
- The EC will review the response at its next meeting and forward recommendations to the BOD.
- A two-thirds majority of the BOD is required to finalize cancellation or suspension.
- If no response is received within one month, membership will be automatically canceled.
- Members may appeal termination or suspension decisions at the Annual General Meeting.
c. Reinstatement of Membership:
- Suspended members regain membership automatically after the suspension period unless additional decisions are made.
- Memberships canceled due to non-payment may be reapplied for through the standard application process.
- Information about suspensions will be published on the organization’s website.
